Cadet Programs

Cadet Programs

Cadet Programs is one of Civil Air Patrols three core missions. Alongside Aerospace Education and Emergency Services.

This mission focuses on the leadership and character areas of Civil Air Patrol.

Squadron Programs

During weekly squadron meetings, cadets will participate in many activities focusing on leadership and character. They will learn military discipline through drill and uniforms. Cadets will get chances to teach classes of their own, and even organize and lead their own activities.

But most importantly, cadets will have chances lead. Cadets can serve in staff positions, whether that be in support or command staff, cadets will learn how to lead by doing. Cadets can take control of a small group of cadets, or become the cadet commander and plan squadron meetings!

Beyond The Squadron

Cadets can attend large events such as the Minnesota Leadership Academy or Officer Training School to learn more about leadership and other Civil Air Patrol topics. Not only can cadets attend as students, but cadets can staff these events. They can be given the responsibility of teaching cadets the skills to be a leader.
